Description
Alpha Wash is a multiple ink and coatings remover — IRC’s most aggressive anilox, plate, and press wash. It’s perfect for breaking down and removing starch-based glues & adhesives commonly found in the packaging industry. Synthetic blends of builders and surfactants combined with alcohols let Alpha Wash work like a solvent, then bolstered further to create what IRC calls “The Gold Standard of Cleaning.” It is a blended cleaning solvent that may be blended with water.
Delivered as a concentrate and dispensed through closed-loop systems, Alpha Wash arrives at the press in ready-to-use form carrying a 1-1-0 HMIS rating, addressing environmental concerns and improving the employee safety profile relative to comparable aggressive cleaners.
Why Alpha Wash
- Economical — Highly Concentrated. Economic dilution ratios deliver maximum product performance in your toughest cleanup operations while reducing storage footprint.
- Environmentally Friendly — Phosphate Free. Synthetic builders and surfactants work like harsher chemistries without carrying the same drawbacks.
- HMIS 1-1-0 — Safer for Employees. In RTU, operators draw Alpha Wash from the dispensing system and get complete cleaning performance on difficult cleanups at remarkably low dilution rates, with an improved safety profile.
- Safe for Equipment. Safe on anilox rolls, plates, cylinders, and press substrates where more aggressive cleaning products are necessary.
- Suspends Soils — Prevents Redeposition. Surfactants penetrate, release, re-wet, and suspend pigments, inks, acrylics, and certain coatings and UVs, preventing redeposition into anilox cells and onto other substrate surfaces while pulling ink off plates quickly.
Built for Hard Water
Alpha Wash is formulated to perform in hard water conditions, so cleaning results hold up in facilities where water chemistry works against conventional cleaners.
Substrate Compatibility
Engineered for use on polymer and rubber plates without causing swelling. Extended dwell time may reduce plate adhesion — do not allow the product to sit on plates longer than necessary.
Packaging & Dispensing
Concentrate available in 4 × 1 gallon cases, 55-gallon drums, and totes. Dispensed through Mobile PDU, dilution stations, or higher-volume stations — all closed-loop.
Caution
For commercial and industrial use only by trained personnel. Keep out of reach of children. Read the Safety Data Sheet for more information. May be harmful if swallowed. Avoid prolonged contact with eyes and mucous membranes.
